Catch the train at the Capitol Heights station to get in and around the city.

Capitol Heights, MD, is a convenient place to rent an apartment for three reasons:

  1. It has its own WMATA Metrorail stop on the Blue Line, so commuting anywhere in the metro area is a snap!
  2. It’s also pretty close to the I-495 Capital Beltway, which itself can take you anywhere you need to go in the Washington D.C. metro area.
  3. Finally, Capitol Heights sits squarely on East Capitol Street, a road I myself lived next to in my old Capitol Hill days. A handy thoroughfare, East Capitol Street extends all the way from the U.S. Capitol building to a little ways past Capitol Heights before turning into Central Avenue. And take it from me: Tree-lined East Capitol Street, home to the Folger Shakespeare Library, Lincoln Park and some of the city’s most charming row houses, is one of the coolest streets in the world, bar none.

If you’re in search of a pleasant, well-placed neighborhood that offers easy access to virtually all points in the area, look no further.
