City List

Description

Centreville was first chartered in 1792 and today is a modern suburb that lies between Manassas, Fairfax and Chantilly. Retail and housing tend to be more spread out in comparison to densely populated areas such as Arlington. Centreville was named as one of the best towns for college-educated and working professionals to live in by CNNmoney in 2004. Several deciding factors were environment, financial, weather, travel and culture.

The only type of public transportation provided here are buses. There are no Metro Rail or VRE stops in Centerville. However, Centerville is located near Route 66, 29, 28 and 7100, all major freeways providing access to many of the major employment areas.

Points of interest in Centreville are the Sully Plantation (which was built in 1794 by Northern Virginia's first Congressional representative Richard Bland Lee), the Mt. Gilead House, the Old Stone Church (whose cemetery contains a number of unknown graves dating back to the 1850s) and the Ox Hill Battlefield sites.
