Fort Belvoir is a military post that also has residential communities limited to military families, civilian employees and soldiers.
Since many of the homes are old, the area recognizes the need for new housing. A new community is being built today and is not expected completion until 2011. Just like any town or city, Fort Belvoir provides on-site amenities such as a hospital, chapel, schools, shopping malls, fitness trails, recreation centers and more.
