City List

Description

Not to be confused with Landover, Landover Hills is a small community with a total area of 0.3 square miles. Although ownership had changed several times throughout the years, the original planners of the community were Monroe and Dorothy Warren.

n 1945, the city held an election to decide whether the residents wanted the town to be incorporated or not. Most saw this as an opportunity to improve their community. Today, this incorporated suburb has about 150 acres of hills and trees with 4.5 miles of streets. Public transportation is provided by the nearby New Carrollton Metro station and the MARC station.

County Description

Formed in 1696, Prince George's County is a suburban county that spans 487 square miles and lies just 37 miles south of Baltimore. The county was named after Prince George of Denmark, and was created from parts of Charles and Calvert Counties.
