Mount Rainier, MD was founded in the late 19th century when Washington D.C.’s high housing demand caused an urban expansion. Known for its intimate, tree-shaded neighborhoods and close proximity to DC, Mount Rainier provides apartment renters with easy access to the city.
Located northeast of Washington, D.C., in Prince George’s County, Mount Rainier is 1.7 square miles with a population of over 8,500. US-1 conveniently runs through Mount Rainier for access to points traveling north and south.
