Description
Seabrook is an area with no official boundaries, and is considered to be part of the Lanham-Seabrook census designated place (CDP). Being census designated allows the US Census Bureau to combine nearby urban areas in statistical research. Seabrook is also an unincorporated town -- a unofficial "town" that does not have town rights or a city council. Residents, however, view the Seabrook and Lanham communities to be two different areas. Seabrook lies a few miles northeast of Lanham and close to I-495 and Route 50.
