Description

Prince William County is located in the heart of Northern Virginia, just 20 miles southwest from downtown Washington, DC. Rich in Civil War history, still dotted with small family farms and tiny towns, the county is also packed with apartment communities with contemporary features, beautiful parks and attractions that add to any resident's quality of life.

I-66 bisects Prince William County from east to west, and just off it, the Nissan Pavilion attracts entertainment acts from around the world. Many top golf courses are led by the world-famous Robert Trent Jones course on Lake Manassas, home of the President's Cup tournament. In the north is Manassas National Battlefield Park. The county's southern border is the huge Quantico Marine Corps Base and the town of Quantico, with its marinas and river views, and artist's community of galleries, shops, dining and more.

Manassas has been the county seat since 1892, and offers a museum system and charming Old Town historic district. Dumfries is the oldest continually chartered town in Virginia. The towns of Gainesville, Haymarket and Manassas Park offer historic charm, quaint restored buildings and shops, and antiques.
