Why College Park Could be Your Next Hometown
Also known as Old Town College Park, College Park is one of the cities that lie along the Route 1 corridor. Obviously, College Park is full of college student life—due to the University of Maryland being situated right in the town. Shops, restaurants and bars line along the town's busiest road, Baltimore Avenue.
Pedestrians are abundant in the area and students who live close may bicycle, bus or walk to the UMD campus. Public transportation is serviced by buses and trains from the College Park Metro station.
Although there is a large college atmosphere in College Park, there is also a historic feel along the outside suburban areas—due to the restoration of architecture and colonial style homes.
