Why Seabrook Could be Your Next Hometown
Seabrook, Maryland is an area with no official boundaries, and is considered to be part of the Lanham-Seabrook census designated place (CDP). Seabrook is also an unincorporated town -- an unofficial "town" that does not have town rights or a city council. Residents, however, view the Seabrook and Lanham communities to be two different areas. Seabrook lies a few miles northeast of Lanham and close to I-495 and Route 50. The MARC Commuter Rail Station in Seabrook allows an easy commute for apartment residents to various cities including Washington DC and Baltimore.
The development of red brick homes in Seabrook, MD was built in the 1950's to serve employees of the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. Several apartment complexes and area businesses have recently developed in this once residential town.
Seabrook apartments for rent are near area businesses such as restaurants, banks, and the Bowie Towne Center, a large shopping complex 15 miles east of Seabrook, which also attracts several residents.
