Why Herndon Could be Your Next Hometown
Herndon is a town which lies just east of the Dulles technology corridor and just minutes away from Dulles, Sterling and Reston. Major roadways include Routes 267 (Dulles Toll Rd), 7, 28 and 7100 (Fairfax County Pkwy). It's location is ideal for close-commute employment for a number of large and major businesses in Reston and along the Dulles Corridor.
Although Herndon brings a lot of new development, it still maintains its Old Dominion feel with its Main Street--which is surrounded by old neighborhoods, shops and historic buildings. Townhomes, condos and apartments are abundant and available for potential rental-seekers.
Visitors and residents can enjoy shopping and entertainment in the nearby Reston Town Center as well as the Dulles Town Center. Neighborhood activities can include jogging/biking on the Washington and Old Dominion Bike Trail to the putting green on the Herndon Centennial Golf Course. Local festivities include the Labor Day Jazz Festival, Mayor's Cup golf tournament, and the Herndon Folk Festival.
