Why Leesburg Could be Your Next Hometown
The largest Civil War battle, the Battle of Ball's Bluff, took place in Leesburg in 1861. A part of the battlefield, now the 168 acre Ball's Bluff Regional Park, is open to visitors today. Today, Leesburg is considered one of the fastest growing town in Loudoun County.
The area has a considerable range of housing types ranging from historic townhouses to newly developed condominiums. Like much of its surrounding areas such as Sterling, Reston and Dulles, the area's growth brings in a lot of corporations and companies such as the Federal Aviation Association. Residents can travel via nearby Route 7 or take the ferry across the Potomac River to Poolesville in Maryland.
