Bethesda Serves Residents Another Helping of Popular Food Festival
Who doesn’t like to eat?
People who are fasting, contestants on Celebrity Fit Club, the Olsen twins? God knows I do. Too much. We expect that you do, too. Thankfully, there’s the Taste of Bethesda – one of the area’s most popular food and music festivals.
Taste of Bethesda has been going on annually for two decades now. In fact, this year’s event – which takes place in the Woodmont Triangle neighborhood of Bethesda, Md., on Saturday, Oct. 2, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. – marks the festival’s 21st year. But, food is only part of the fun. Four stages of live entertainment will be on hand, as well as a kid’s corner with cookie decorating and face painting.
The savory event, held in conjunction with Best of Bethesda Day, regularly draws 40,000 people to sample offerings from various restaurants. This year, more than 50 local restaurants are expected to show off their best dishes. Admission to the festival is free, but taste tickets are four for $5, and servings will cost anywhere from one to four tickets.
After you’ve stuffed yourself, be sure to check out some classic autos at the free Come Back to Bethesda car show, which benefits the Children’s Inn at NIH. In addition, you may want to attend Rescue Day, the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rescue Squad’s free annual open house. Both events are also being held Oct. 2.
So, if you decide to rent an apartment in Bethesda, you can be sure of at least one day’s worth of entertainment, education and good food … if you choose to partake in the sumptuous juggernaut that is Taste of Bethesda.
Apartment Showcase has lots of apartments in the are for you to check out.
