Celebrate Thanksgiving With Pumpkin Pie From Martha and Sophie

Oh, where would many homemakers be without Martha Stewart?

Well, honestly, a few schillings richer probably, with the domestic queen’s many-armed media/goods conglomerate ready to pitch you a homemade moon if you’d buy it. And some people probably would.

But the former convict (did I just say that?) does have a treasure trove of homespun ideas to marinate on. Since Thanksgiving approaches, we decided to let her niece Sophie – with help from the great one herself – show us how to make a homemade pumpkin pie. And not any old homemade pie, but one using the doyenne’s own mother’s recipe.

Even if you don’t follow the recipe exactly (what fun would that be? We won’t tell Martha), you still might pick up a tip or two, like that rolling the dough over-and-under the plastic wrap trick.
