August 15th to 21st is the Summer 2016 Restaurant Week in DC! Restaurant Week is a great time to explore and taste all the delicious food DC has to offer. You’ll be able to have a 3 course lunch for $22 or a 3 course dinner for $35 at any participating restaurant, of which there’s 250! Just make sure when you get to the restaurant you ask for the Restaurant Week menu.

Restaurant Week gets pretty popular so it’s a good idea to make reservations in advance. Plus, when you make a reservation via the Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington website you’ll have the chance to win lots of prizes including a cruise for two on Celebrity Cruises, tickets to local food-related events, and restaurant gift cards. Just pick out the restaurant you want from the website homepage and follow the link to Open Table. Then make your reservation and be sure to opt-in to receive emails about exclusive deals, as that is what will officially enter you in the contest. For complete details go here.

Another contest you can participate in is the Fan of Lamb Promotion. If you enjoy a lamb dish during Restaurant Week at a participating restaurant simply take a picture of it and tweet it out with the hashtags #FANOFLAMB and #RWDMV. This will give you the chance to win the “Summer Lamb Pack” which is a treat for any lamb lover.

Kapnos Kouzina features home-style Greek cuisine and is run by celebrity chef Mike Isabella. Top Chef fans will remember him from season 6 and DC foodies know him for his numerous restaurants in the area, including G, Graffiato, and Pepita. The menu at Kapnos Kouzina includes traditional greek spreads served with flatbread, fresh seafood, lamb, and more.
